This was our second roof installation by Tom Buzzard in over thirty years. The entire process went smoothly from start to finish: first he met with us to discuss the plans and pricing. Then his crew of four worked tirelessly for three days, and cleaned up nicely when they were done. The end result was perfect, and the cost was reasonable. I had my work done in the Aug-September 2020 time frame. It was a roof replacement. With this review coming down in January, 2021, I've had plenty of weather to experience beneath the new roof. What prompted me to look at Tom Buzzard Co. was that my financial planner was roof investigating and Mr. Buzzard came highly recommended to her from one of the more experienced roofing inspectors with City of Raleigh or Wake County...one or the other. I got three estimates and while I truly believe the other contestants would have done great work, Tom Buzzard Co. was the only one willing to eat his own cooking with no up front money down. Along with the aforementioned recommendation, that circumstance put Tom Buzzard Co. a step and a half in front of the other contenders. He was saying...like the completed work? Pay me at the conclusion, when you're satisfied. I was satisfied. Moreover, I am still satisfied some three months later. Not too unusually, I suppose, for August, 2020, all the preliminaries were conducted via email. There was a queue to get him to install a roof, but once the work was scheduled, the crew was prompt, workmanlike and finished in two days, as forecasted. It was not an inexpensive outlay, I'd say, but a good experience especially in light of the condition of the original cover that was on the home.

10 years later and we're still receiving great customer service! We recently had an algae issue on the north side of our roof and reached out to Tom buzzard who installed a new roof, skylights, and did some roof repair for us 10 years ago about how to clean. We found out we had an algae warranty and Tom was extremely helpful in assisting us with a successful claim and referral for cleaning shingles. It says a great deal about a company and owner that still gives great customer service after 10 years. Back then, Tom was great to work with and we really liked his up front, honest, and no pressure approach and today he is still making his customers happy!

When we decided to replace our roof, we contacted several companies and got estimates. What stood out with Tom Buzzard is that we can feel the honesty and the sense of doing the work the right way without cutting corner. Throughout the process and since we are not home, Tom updated us every day and let us know if his crew found any problems that Tom didn't see during the initial inspection. The roof replacement was completed earlier this week (the week of July 6th) and the new roof really looks fantastic. The brand of shingles that Tom recommended to us works perfectly with the type and color of our house sidings. I don't often writing reviews but, in this case, I would like to give other people the opportunity to consider Tom's business, which I highly recommend without any reservation.

I strongly recommend Tom Buzzard (https://www.tombuzzard.com/). He replaced the roof on our house in 2003. He gives a 10 year labor warranty (few companies do this). 11+ years after the install I had a minor issue and he sent his foreman to examine and address it at no cost to myself. Tom has quite a following where I work. That's how I found out about him.

I suffered hail damage last year and my insurance company agreed that a replacement was needed. I had no reservations asking Tom to do that replacement. When the job was finished, interestingly, not a single sheet of plywood needed replacement - to me that's a testament to how well the first roof was installed by his crew in 2003. Since I was working from home during this re-roofing I noticed that his crew hand nailed the shingles! Another thing I like about Tom is that there is no advance payment and he does not does not take payment until you're satisfied.

My only complaint is that from the time we scheduled the work (August 2019) to when the work was complete (February 2020) seemed long. Fortunately we weren't in any rush, but that just shows that his superior quality services are in high demand!
